In CellDesigner, a reaction should have at least one reactant and one product.
If you want to describe a reaction which represent independent process (without reactant / product), add an hypothetical "Unknown" Species.
e.g. creation of Calcium and destruction of calcium, wich are both independant and for the frist process without reactant (just the product Calcium) and for the second process without product (just reactant Calcium).
