To replace Species ID

1. In the Menu, click Edit, then Species ID Replace....
   
2. Species ID Replace dialog pops up.
3. Select a Species whose ID you want to change.
4. Double click the New ID cell so that you can type in the text.
   
5. Type in the new ID, and then click another row.
   
6. ClickOK to confirm the chage.

If there is any problem with the new name, e.g., duplicate IDs or wrong characters, the cell will become red. The change will not be confirmed even if you click the OK button

To copy "Name" to "New ID"

1. In the Species ID Replace dialog, click Copy 'Name' into 'New ID'
2. Verify that the contens in the Name column have been copied to the New ID column.

To reset "New ID"

1. In the Species ID Replace dialog, click Reset
2. Verify that the contens in the New ID column have been reset to those in the ID column.

The gray background color in the Name ID column indicates that the new ID is the same as the current ID.
