Activate a Protein

Protein active

To activate a protein

  1. Select a Protein you want to activate,
  2. Select Component menu, then select Set Active,
    or press [A] key as shortcut.
  3. An "activated" state of a Protein, except an Ion Channel Protein, will be displayed as being encircled by the dotted line. An Ion Channel will open its channel when activated.

    4. You can only activate SpeciesAliases of a Protein or a Complex (heterodimer) including Proteins alone.

To inactivate a Protein

  1. Select a Protein you want to inactivate.
  2. Select Component menu, then select Set Inactive,
    or press [A] key as shortcut.

    3. Active/Inactive setting is stored in each SpeciesAlias, not in a Species in general.
