To create a new SpeciesAlias
- From the Species Toolbar, select a Species you want to create.
- Click the Draw Area to specify the place of the species.
- Name of the species dialog appears for you to enter the name of the SpeciesAlias.
- By default, Species ID (e.g., "s1") is displayed in the textbox. We recommend you to rename it to represent the physical entity of the species, such as "MAPK".
- Click OK.
You must fill in the textbox. You cannot leave the name empty.
When you create a SpeciesAlias on the Draw Area, the Species logically related to it will be automatically generated and added to the logical structure of the model. You can check such Species in the Species list window.
If a new Species is created and given the same name as the existing Species, it will be regarded as the second SpeciesAlias of the same Species.
