Create a Protein Residue

Residues of the protein can be added in the [Protein] dialog.

 

To change the residue status,
refer to [Change the Residue Status]


To create a protein residue

1. Create a protein.
2. Open the "List" window.
by either select "Window" -> "Show List" or click the "Res. List" button on the tool bar.

3. Click "Protein" tab in the list. (in the right most position.)
Then click the protein you want to add the residue.
"Protein" dialog will pop-up.

*Alternatively, click with the right mouse button on the target protein, then select [Edit Protein] menu.

4. Click "Add.." button, and the "ModificationResidue" dialog will appear.
At the same time, in the "Protein" dialog preview the position of the residue.

5. Modify the id, name, side, and the angle to place the residue, then click "OK".
You can check the added residue in the preview of the "Protein" dialog.

6. Click "Update" to update the modification, then "Close" to close the dialog.

To edit/delete the protein residue:

1. Open the "List" window.
2. Click "Protein" tab in the list, then click the protein to edit.

*Alternatively, click with the right mouse button on the target protein, then select [Edit Protein] menu.

"Protein" dialog will pop-up.

3. Click the residue to edit.
The "ModificationResidue" dialog will pop-up.

4. Select "Edit" to edit the residue.
Select "Delete" to delete the residue.

5. When complete the modification, close the dialog, and update the modification
