CellDesigner Help

Export an Image (PNG/JPEG/EPS/SVG/PDF)

CellDesigner can export images of the model in four formats: PNG, JPEG, EPS, SVG or PDF. If you have selected some items on screen, these items will be highlighted in the exported image.

**Known Issue** When the Save dialog pops up, the items you have selected will be cancelled and will not be exported as being highlighted.

To export an image

  1. Select File - Export Image... in the Menu.
  2. The Save dialog will appear.
  3. Select the file type in which the image file is saved.
    • PNG
    • JPEG
    • SVG (new in Ver 2.2)
    • PDF (new in Ver 3.2)
    • EPS (new in Ver 3.5)
  4. CellDesigner saves what is being displayed on Draw Area. (same as the Print function.)
  5. For high quality print out, we would recommend to use SVG format, then convert it to appropriate TIFF or EPS using graphic editing software such as Illustrator.
