The Degradation is used to express the amount of decomposition.
Degradation, same as Homodimer Formation, is provided in CellDesigner as an automatic batch tool.
To create a Degradation:
1. Select a SpeciesAlias
2. Select Degradation icon from the tool bar.
A new Degradation sign is created and connected by State Transition with the original SpeciesAlias automatically.
There is no special joint relation between the created Degradation sign and ReactionLink. (as well as HomodimerFormation.)
A Degradation sign is a special sign and is not an alias. All the Degradation signs that appear on a model are distinguished as another Species.
