Homodimer Formation differs from the functionality of the other icons: It functions as a batch tool.
To create a homodimer:
1. Select [Homodimer Formation] icon from the tool bar.
2. Click the target SpeciesAlias on the Draw area.
CellDesigner automatically
- generates a new SpeciesAlias with the same homodimer value as the original SpeciesAlias,
- then links the original SpeciesAlias and the newly created SpeciesAlias with the State Transition line.
The State Transition generated here will have new attributes; the stoichiometry value of the Reactant is set to 2, while that of the Product being set to 1.
You can delete the ReactionLink with the homodimer. Then the homodimer remains as it is as another independent SpeciesAlias.
You can edit the components respectively.
